So many birthday sessions!

Lately I feel like I've been doing a lot of birthday and cake smash photos and trust me when I say, I'm not complaining! They are so much fun and the kids do so great! I really enjoy when a mom or dad comes to me with a simple or elaborate theme in mind and let's me do my thing and create a scene! Sometimes I just have a color to work off of and sometimes the theme is so specific. Either way, they turn out great!

Tomorrow I have a Little Pumpkin girls first birthday photo shoot planned so over the last week I've been stocking up on pumpkins and crafting! I can't wait to see everything come together and meet the birthday girl. Will she end up liking the cake and making a mess? Who knows! Honestly it doesn't even matter! Whether the child picks at the cake a little bit or goes all in I always get great photos from these sessions!

After the cake part of the photo shoot is done I recommend a bath session for two different reasons. First it really helps get all the icing off, but more importantly, every little one loves the water. Many times this is when I get the best smiles.
