Where have I been hiding?

It has been a little while since I've done a photo session and even longer since I've blogged about it! There have been quite a few changes going on here at Captured in a Flash Photography.

I recently had to take a little bit of time off to have a foot surgery, (something I've been putting off for years!) I knew the recovery would take between 6-8 weeks so I figured this would be the perfect time to do the studio renovations that I've had in mind for awhile now! (I'll tell you more about this another time!) I also had plenty of time to think about my business and what I would like to accomplish for the year. One of my goals is to do more first birthday sessions! I love photographing the little ones and would really like to expand my cake smash backdrop collection! I decided that every month I'll be offering a different themed one year old birthday session. If you like the theme you can book that or of course you can go with any theme of your choice. I always enjoy hearing everyone's ideas and using my creativity to come up with unique setups!

I'm still deciding what the first theme will be. Some ideas that I would really like to do this year are, carnival, Italian Spaghetti or pizza, Ice cream stand, Luau, and a fishing session! What do you think? Please feel free to let me know what ideas you would like to see!
